How to have a successful winter session…
1. Choose a day that is above freezing temperatues. NO ONE wants to be posing for pictures when their limbs feel dead and their smile is frozen solid.
2. Dress for winter! In the past, I have had seniors show up for their session in a strapless dress and heels…in JANUARY. That session is going to last at least 5 minutes.
3. The snow is the best reflector that could ever be given to you, so skip the fancy lights and enjoy the gorgeous light to minimize standing-around-in-the-cold time.
Seriously, that’s it. People shy away from winter sessions because of the cold, but with a little planning, they are some of my favorite sessions EVER. Thanks to Allison who, well, kind of rocked it…
