jeff and sara | northville michigan wedding

This would be me…in the middle of a downpour.  Yes, I know this story is about Jeff and Sara, but let me back up just a bit and I’ll explain…

Back in 2009, Jeff and Sara met me for their engagement shoot.  We knew a big storm was brewing, but we pushed ahead anyway. Mother Nature did not disappoint and we worked through rain and wind.  Jeff and Sara were AMAZING and because they were willing to do and try anything, they looked fabulous in their images.

Fast forward to May 22, 2010.  Wedding Day.  It rained in the morning, but we all gave a quiet cheer when blue skies and sun broke through.

Fast forward to a couple of hours later.  Just as we’re getting ready to start photographing the bride and groom and bridal party, we feel drops.  Those innocent little drops quickly turned into furious buckets of water and everyone ran for cover.  The groom and his brother in law (seen below) were as stubborn as I was and figured if we stood outside, we weren’t giving into Mother Nature’s angst and she would let up soon.  And let up she did.  It poured for about 15 minutes…and then it cleared up and the sun came out.  You have NO idea the relief that swept through me when it stopped raining.

Soooo, Jeff and Sara followed me into the soggy world and we had a great time capturing their love…

Oh, I so love this capture Travis got of Sara.

Notice them both strategically saving her dress from the very wet ground…

So, the morale of the story?  No matter how bad you are cursed with bad weather on your very important days, if you have a good attitude and are madly in love, then it will be an amazing day and everyone has a great time.  Thanks Jeff and Sara…you guys ROCK.
