Just hanging on the bed.  You know…it’s what every family does on a Friday evening. To be perfectly honest, I wish I had images of me and my family hanging out on our bed on Friday or any other day of the week. If people in images could make someone’s day, they just made mine.

Sometimes…in the middle of a cold, dark Michigan winter…I walk into a client’s home…and find a spot of natural light heaven… And…I am in heaven. I love creating and using artificial light, but there is just something about beautiful natural light…on an equally beautiful and fun family.

Just a little smattering of what I have been up to lately…

I strongly feel that using props/accessories or themes that describe a family or individual are the best (and most fun) way to bring out personalities and relationships. These images make me so happy…just to see the love and fun between the family members. Dang it, I want pictures of my family preparing baked goods!

I know. The hair. IS FREAKING ADORABLE. I have never seen a child with so much hair…let alone a six month old!! I last photographed her when she was a newborn…so fun to work with this beautiful family again! Towards the end, we headed into a little market that they frequent often.  Love the shots […]
